Christmas with Montalbano

Great,

just found a new book about commisario Montalbano in my suitcase that I have not unpacked yet since september last year when I was in Italy. La voce del violino written by Camillieri, funny to read his italian mixed with sicilian dialects, makes the story more authentic. When a book is translated I think it looses some of its flavor, so when I can I read books in original language. I read all the Harry Potter books last year, got hooked on Potter when I bought Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix last august in Sciphol airport in holland. And yesterday I went to see the fourth movie about the Potter boy, but I found it to be less enjoying than the others...
well thats all folks, enjoy Christmas

Happy Christmas :-)

Happy Christmas, yet again its here.
Been busy with the Trustix Linux, arrived at installing the SuSe, Slackware and Mandrake Linux on the same disk, 40 Go. I use LILO at bootup to choose which one to use. Also, added the floppy as a boot up option in the Lilo; /dev/fd0 more or like.
Will be alone busy over the xmas to try some other Linux distro and working offcourse, at least somthing to do, otherwise just television and beer....
so, again happy xmas

So what Linux distro am I trying at the moment?

Trustix 2.2, nice text mode Linux from Norway, trying to upgrade to version 3.0 but having problems, since I have pcmcia cdrom. But what are problems for, it's just more fun like this, well, sometimes Very frustraiting....., when there is not a pcmcia driver around the block.
What I like about Trustix, well its small and quick and nifty, easy to install, actually did it through USB ext. cdrom. Text in colors lots of things to pic and poke about.
I use an old IBM portable, mainly because I can remove the hard disk just by pulling it out on the left side and slide another in, in that way I can run many different OS, my second portable is macintosh g4, have not tried to hack it yet to put a linux distro on it, since it's a hassle at the moment.
Anyway, welcome to everyone who visits my blog, I am not trying to be serious nor silly, hopefully funny sometimes.....

Wow, my first blog.

So, at last, my own blog about, art, linux and photography....
